A little bit of this and a little bit of that...

Well, I have been guilty again by not updating my blog as often as I like to, but once again we have been so busy...I don't know how you all update everyday??? I need to find the secret! We are all doing great...busy planning our Buddywalk coming up in 3 weeks...excited about GIFTS 2 coming out! Received my copy from my FIL last week and of course had to read our story first! Wonderful story written by my father in law, and just awesome stories written by so many...love knowing that some of the stories are from the blogs I follow! The publishers did a great job! So if you haven't read this, you've gotta get it!

I am happy to say that we are still seeing our OT...She has worked some magic and has been able to keep us, hopefully forever! Below are some pics from our session last week...Brayden's developmental teacher wanted to see him in action, so showed up for his session and it was great! Brayden is doing some fun new things...he is signing milk (not all the time) but has done it a few times...he can also show us where our EYES are, NOSE, and MOUTH (this one was just today) and we are working on EAR....YAY! He is learning "No." Example: Pulling brother's ears just to get a "No" reaction...pulling hair, knowing we are going to tell him "No." Opening cabinets, opening the fireplace, all to look at me and tell him "No." and he actually is stopping the action...he is a smart little stinker...He is everywhere and loves to explore all rooms! He is standing for longer periods of time and starting to pull himself up a lot more...We are ordering him a SPIO vest....www.Spioworks.com . He wears one at PT and is amazingly so much stronger and coordinated, so we are excited about that...We are due to see his ENT next month, just to make sure he is still A-OKAY with his hearing tests...and he is now 17 months! He has 4 teeth now...2 front top, and 2 front bottom...He loves to show them off! He is so funny and makes me laugh all the time!

Look at this fun swing!

Massaging the muscles around the lips...

Stimulating the senses...with a big brush...he use to HATE this, but now seems to enjoy it!

Favorite blocks to destroy and knock down!

We are excited to see Cody play 4 games this weekend and are all geared up for a soccer tournament here in our town...it is suppose to be 100degrees, but we are ready with our canopy, lots of fresh fruit and water!! He is doing so well, made his first goal of the season last weekend and they won both their games...Go team CVSA Cyclones!

He even lost another tooth this week...I had to post this little video clip as he was soooo determined to pull his own tooth out, but with 1....2....3 many times, no such luck...so mom had to step and count to 1 with a big YANK...and out it came!

Looks great. But no way could I pull out a tooth. I could barely watch the video.
I love Brayden's face on that swing.

It's great to hear your family is doing great! I feel the same way about updates, I feel like I never have the time! But I still love checking up on everyone though! Sounds like Brayden is doing great, as always! What a sweetheart! And yeah, I couldn't watch the tooth movie, I was too nervous. I'm guessing I will be more daring as my kids grow up... hopefully! :)

I don't know what it is about teeth but I too felt nervous watching the tooth video. I'm actually dreading the day that Caleb's teeth start to fall out!

Brayden is doin so well!! Enjoy the stage where he listens to your "no"! Joel only listened for a few weeks and than decided it was much more fun to do what we didn't want him to do over and over and watch our reactions get bigger and bigger!

That is so funny. You can never pull your own tooth out. You just can't pull hard enough, I remember I couldn't even check my own blood glucose.

Brayden is doing so well! I am always so jealous of your wonderful therapies! I steal a lot of their ideas from your blog and try to work with him at home! So many fun updates!

Love seeing the pics of Brayden. He's getting so big. Gotta tell you...couldn't watch the video...lol. When I taught kindergarten and first grade and the kids had a loose tooth, I always sent them to the office. Yes, I'm a wimp.

I should post on here that the video DOESN'T actually show him pulling it out! It is just an attempt! When I pulled it out there was so video of it...lol...

Darlena! Good to hear from you! I chuckle as I look at pics of Brayden in his superman suit...all those wicked velcroe straps! I have to admit, my son doesn't wear it as often as he probably should-we sortof took a break from it in the summer months b/c it seemed so hot to wear, although we were assured it wasn't so. He did SO WELL with it on though, and just seeing Brayden in it and reading your post has really encouraged me to get it out and start using it again. He can really zoom in it, and it was very helpful as he began to crawl. Couldn't find your contact email! So if you'd like to email me directly please do! And btw I don't know how other moms keep up with posting so often either so don't feel bad! It's enough to just get dinner on the table and a load of wash done. :)

I love seeing Brayden in action at therapy. Our therapy is a consultative model, which isn't anywhere near as fun. He looks great. BTW, that's how we yank out stubborn teeth, too :-)
