We had a fun New Years Eve...My in-laws came over and since my brother and sister-in-law had to work we decided it would be fun to invite some cousins to spend the night with us...so we ordered Olive Garden to go, so yummy...played some games...ate some cake...drank some soda so we could all ring in the new year together! Kids had lots of fun and so did we!
Papa getting the first game of the night started...UNO spin!
Brayden being sneaky in the action...he loved it! He even stayed up until 9:45pm...which is late for him, usually goes to bed by 8pm.
Brayden telling Papa the game plan...
Brayden has been very helpful lately. His favorite thing to do is empty the dishwasher for me and the dryer...and the toilet paper, drawers, cabinets...but so fun to watch his independence and curiousity...
He is doing some fun things...he has been cruising furniture for about a month now...he loves to climb into small chairs, climb stairs, stand all by himself for 5-10 seconds at a time and will repeatedly practice this in the middle of the room looking for praise and lots of claps! He loves to walk with assistance from whoever is willing to practice with him. He is going to be fitted for some small orthotics tomorrow with a team of therapists from WA. We are excited as this will give him some extra stability with walking.
Below are some pictures of his FAVORITY time of the night or day...breaking and entering while his big brother is taking a shower...I prefer end of the day, so we can strip down and put him in a bath right after. He LOVES water! As you can tell...LOL..
And GUESS WHAT? Our Kaylee girl lost her first tooth this past week. She was so excited. It had been loose for about 3 weeks, so after rollerskating last week...MOMMMY got to pull it out with my method of pulling teeth. She was a little trooper...she is growing up way to fast!
On to me for a change...I never talk about me, but I have joined the gym with my husband this past week and we have changed our eating habits...I do not like new years resolutions, because 9 out of 10 times people tend to go back to their bad habits...I am hoping we are making lifetime changes and going to be able to stick through these new habits together. Jared is my rock and has been there for me for 18 years...I want many, many more years with him so we are on our way to a healthier lifestyle...YAY me!

Great recap! I just love the picture of Brayden where it looks like he's trying to see his neighbor's cards...hilarious! Good luck with the healthy lifestyle change. I'm sort of doing the same thing. I am trying to lose a little (ok, eventually a LOT) of weight, but I'm not going to crash diet to do it. Every time I've ever done that I've gained it back. Instead I'm trying to eat healthier and get on the treadmill. Here's to a great 2010!!!!
Yay for you! Good luck on your goals! You'll do awesome! So many fun updates. I miss me some Brayden!
Hey we are coming down probably the first weekend in March, but it will be quick, just for the weekend. I think Denise is going to try and come to Disneyland with us. We are coming down again the beginning of June. We have a wedding, and then we are using that as our vacation.
Good for you!!! Ya know as much as we all love our family, when it comes to making changes like the one you have decided on, it really has to be done for YOU!!!
Brayden got so big! He's into everything!!!! Good for him!
So fun to see an update and pictures! I love the mischievous pictures :) Brayden, you are doing so awesome as usual! Good luck on your goals for the year. That is awesome to have someone to work on them right there with you, you'll do awesome!
Cute pictures. Brayden is getting so big. Such a cute little family. Good for you Dolly, taking some time for yourself. You sure are a devoted mom and have such a busy life. You deserve some me time!
My hubby and I need to do the same too! I'm sure you will do great! Sounds like you are staying quite busy with Brayden and it is only going to get busier so put on those running shoes :-) And hooray for the lost tooth! Hope you have a great year!
Looks like you had alot of fun on New Years Eve. Loved the pics of Brayden all wet, Sam loves the water as well. Yea for the losing of the first tooth, what a big girl.
Great post!! I love what a great helper Brayden is ... he can come help me anytime!
Way to go on making some lifestyle changes ... I need to do the same but struggle with motivation.
I can't believe you pull teeth with strings! LOL! I have always been told to let them go until they are ready to fall out on their own. Your daughter is so cute! And great job joining the gym ... you should do the C25K with us!
Love the pictures with Brayden and Uno and Brayden and the shower - they are so cute! Good luck with your goals - we are making the same goals this year - and we too are hoping to stick to them!
Okay, that photo of Brayden soaking wet is cracking me up. Adorable!
Good luck on your goals. I've lost five pounds which makes me happy....until I realize how much I have left to go! Slow and steady, right?
