We had the wonderful opportunity of meeting up with two of my blogging friends, Emily and Denise from some of the blogs I follow...Emily said she was going to be out in California and I jumped on the chance to see if we could meet up! She had already made plans with Denise so Emily and her mom put on a lunch spread and had all kinds of entertainment for all of our kids...So much fun! I have posted some pics of course of our fun time today! Little Justin may be smaller than Brayden but he was able to take him down, lol....and little Ella too. Those hands are tough and mighty...such a cutie pie he is! I just love his hairstyle.

Here are all 3 of them when we first got there...they all had to warm up to each other, but after no time at all they were mingling with each other. Little Ella was moving all around these boys with her new crawling capabilities! Brayden is just starting to show signs of getting on the crawling bandwagon...but not quite yet! Justin amazes me with his 8 little teeth... and well, these moms amaze me for just being the positive people they are.

Here is little Ella...she is just 3 weeks or so older than Brayden. Isn't she beautiful?

Justin is just 2 weeks younger than Brayden...

Brayden having a wonderful time!

And here we are...Denise and Ella...Myself and Brayden...Emily and Justin...so surreal to be visiting with 2 amazing moms I have met online, all because of one extra chromosome. I didn't get a pic of Kathy, Emily's sweet mom (taking our picture) who I would of never met either. I sometimes am in awww of what an amazing journey Brayden has me on...Every parent that I have come in contact with because of one extra chromosome is truly a special person and I can honestly say, I know our Heavenly Father up above has a special hand-picking in where these special spirits go to. I don't mean to get so sentimental, but the more I meet the more I know this is true. There is something unique about every parent I have met and I have learned so much from them. I want to say thanks again to Emily, Kathy and Denise for making today happen. I hope we can meet up again and add more moms to the mix...I would love to meet up with all the blogging friends I have met. The internet is a wonderful technology.

Keep in touch girls! And I will see you next time! Everybody is going to be a little bigger and probably even more on the move! lol... I wish I would of taken some pics of our other children with each other, so next time that is a must! They had a blast and talked about it the whole way home...they kept saying all those girls are soooo nice! So, tell your girls thanks for making them feel so welcome....

Oh how jealous I am!!! It looks like you all had so much fun. Who wouldn't with those three adorable kids! I'm so glad you were all able to meet up, I want to join in next time so tell me when and where!!
OH... I already miss you guys. I couldn't agree with you more. There is just an amazing bond we all share, and I love it! I couldn't stop talking with my Mom about how great today was. Like we were talking about, it is just so reassuring to know that we aren't alone. This is a beautiful journey our Heavenly Father has sent us on, and I wouldn't change it for anything! Let's forever keep in touch!
P.S. My girls LOVE their clips. Thank you so much for that sweet gift!
I also thought after everyone was gone that we should have taken a group picture with all of the kids. Next time!
Agree totally! Because of Lily, I have met some wonderful people. So glad that you all got a chance to get together.
How great that you were able to get together!! God is amazing for enabling such great connections with people who live so far away from us. Like you I cherish the friendships I've made in the blog world and would just love to meet them in person!
First of all....as a side note...while I was reading this post, David Cook's song "This is the Moment" was playing on your blog. I LOVE this song and it just had meaning to me at this "moment" because of what you wrote and everyone else wrote. ANYWAY...I had the BEST time yesterday. I already miss you guys tremendously. That is the only bummer about going out of our way to meet someone...you don't get to see them regularly and miss them. It was just so comfortable to be able to sit there and visit with you guys like we have known each other for a long time. It is an amazing connection that we all have and just one more reason that I know God put me on this journey with Ella. Thanks again for making the drive down....it was a blast!!! I pray we can do it again sooner than later!
I just had to stop over and meet Brayden after seeing him in the pictures on Ella's blog. Our little boy Carter was born in March of 2008 with Down Syndrome as well.
I am so glad you were able to meet up with new families - it is so fun to meet parents who share a similar journey.
I look forward to watching Brayden on your blog - he is so cute. I went back and watched the video clips at therapy and he reminds me of Carter.
Kristi and Carter
How fun - I have been so touched by all the wonderful people I've met or those (like you) who simply leave nice comments on my blog. I had no idea that an extra chromosome would bring so much and so many into my life!
Wow what an awesome oppurtunity. Thanks for sharing. I love all the pics you post of your life and your kids are so cute.
