Welcome to the world of blogging...I started this blog to keep in contact with extended family and friends...after starting this blog, I realized I wanted to share more about our journey with Down Syndrome...I have connected with many others out there are have been touched by either someone in their lives with Down Syndrome or have a child of their own with Down Syndrome. I have a desire to be the best mommy I can be to our children and would never accept anything less because of a perceived disablity... We are the Lehnick Family of 5 ....I'm Darlena and I am married to my wonderful husband Jared for 11 years (we have been together for 18 1/2 years)...we have 3 amazing children Cody 9 years old, Kaylee 6 years old and Brayden 2 years old who happens to have Down syndrome...Just one extra chromosome.
